Trip. does not collect any personal data. The app operates entirely on your device. No account creation is required, and no data is transmitted to servers operated by Daren Irlen or Feather Studio.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
If you enable iCloud Sync in Profile → Preferences, your trip data will be stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit service.
This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Daren Irlen and Feather Studio do not have access to your iCloud data at any time.
App preferences, appearance settings, and notification preferences are not synced via iCloud and remain local to each device.
Photos you add through Trip. are saved to your device's local storage and are never uploaded to any external server. When you take a photo through the app's camera feature, it is also saved to your native Photos library as a backup.
Photos are not included in the trip export/import feature as they are stored locally and cannot be transferred between devices this way.
Trip. uses the following third-party services to provide certain features. These services receive limited, non-personal data as described:
Trip. does not use any analytics, crash reporting, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track how you use the app, how often you open it, or what features you use.
Trip. products are ad-free. No advertising is served within the app.
Trip. is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.
You can delete all your data at any time from Profile → Danger Zone → Delete all data. This permanently removes all trips, places, expenses, photos, and settings from the app on your device.
To remove data synced to iCloud, delete the app or manage your iCloud storage through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
Photos saved to your native Photos app are not affected by in-app data deletion.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
