Terms of Service

Effective date: May 21, 2026

By downloading and using Plume ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Using Plume

Plume is a personal reading companion app. You may use it to track your reading, save highlights, and manage your reading life. You agree to use the app only for its intended personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your content

All content you add to Plume — books, highlights, notes, ratings — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your data. Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you choose, in your personal iCloud account.

Plume Pro

Plume offers a one-time purchase called Plume Pro that unlocks additional features. This is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed through Apple's App Store.

Third-party services

Plume uses third-party services including Google Books, AniList, MangaDex, Apple CloudKit, and RevenueCat. Your use of these services through Plume is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Intellectual property

The Plume app, its design, and its code are the property of Feather Studio. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it.

Book metadata, covers, and descriptions displayed in Plume are sourced from third-party APIs and remain the property of their respective owners.

Disclaimer of warranties

Plume is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost. We recommend using the export backup feature regularly to protect your data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Feather Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Plume, including but not limited to loss of data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of Plume after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
